Does anyone out there have any experience with Woodtek stationery power tools? I am looking to buy a jointer and the price on the Woodteck is attractive.

I have their overhead pin router and it's a good machine but I bought it used for $200 and have been servicing machines for many years so I can deal with problems, just a few minor repairs needed to bring it back up to snuff and I have a $2,000 machine. Other guys turned it down because they didn't know how to fix it.
My recommendation would be to perhaps spend a little more on a name brand and buy locally for the service factor in case you have a problem. The few dollars you save can cost more in the long run. Just my opinion and you will find many others may say something else based on their personal experience.

I would agree with Rick. For the reasons he mentioned plus whenever I can I try to support my local tool supplier. Once they're gone I won't have anyone with whom to make eye contact if I need advice and/or service.
I realize how difficult it is to resist the mail order prices we're seeing on some of these larger stationary machines, though.
