Not sure why my posts keep getting tied to old posts, but I’m going to try again. Anyway, I had some very distressed wood that I was told was maple. The first board was, but the second board is something I haven’t seen before. Very white wood with pronounced gray and rose cathedral highlights. Anyone have any ideas on what type of wood it is?

"Very White" could be maple, but maybe not.
"with pronounced gray and rose cathedral highlight" could be maple, but maybe not.
Note that there are LOTS of different species of maple. White implies sugar maple, sometimes called hard rock maple.
Pronounced gray could be natural elements within almost any kind of maple.
And rose cathedral highlights -- once again, that could be almost any kind of maple.
Got pics?
