Mark,
When it comes to the "Wanted to buy" ads, W&H has got to lead the list of what people are looking for. I assume you are in good company and good luck.

Thanks for your response. Hope that I am able to get lucky!!!
got a website for W&H?
just happen to have it handy - http://www.williamsnhussey.com/ - spent the day installing T&G walnut flooring milled with a W&H machine - very sweet - here's a pict -
Don't think I have seen walnut as flooring. Very common?
I thought the photo was going to be of the machine :)
What does one cost? New? Used?

not common, but seen occasionally, particularly around the midwest - we have another bedroom to do in cherry, and the main room in oak -

When we hauled the guy with the W&H, I looked it over and then looked it up on the net (the crew were trying to guess how much one cost) - think it was about $1850 w/stand and Baldor motor, no shipping, no cutters etc - used should be less, but as indicated, they are popular, so I think the used market would be strong -
here's a pict of the machine where the flooring was milled - note the terrorist proof dust collecting.... sorry about the quality of photo - a small machine that does great work -
just wondering, have you checked out the new planer/molder that powermatic just introduced? It has a 15" planing capacity, a 5hp motor, and very good dust collection and blade access. It's about 1700 bucks. I think I'm going to get one. I looked at the W & H website and can't see any advantage over the Pmatic, but then again I have never used one. Maybe someone can tell me what makes these machines so popular?
one feature that makes them popular is that they can do curved moldings - the machine is open on one edge so wide and curved pieces can be accommodated - it'll do T&G also, tho I suppose the machine you mention could be set up that way also -
I don't have one, so can only speculate - - the owners I have talked to are quite enthused about their machines -
has anyone used the powermatic molder? i am considering woodmaster, powermatic, W & H and its clone by bridgewood.
i would appreciate any info from people who have used these or own them.
thanks
I have one that I could part with; where are you? This isn't the proper place for such a discussion. E-mail me at [email protected].
