I am looking to start making some craft projects to sell and am looking for good sources of things to incorporate. I know of Rockler, woodcrafters, and of course, Lee Valley but are there others? I am going to make a few things like beauty mirrors and other nick nacks. Below are a few things I am looking for but am open to others.
Butter knife blades
Bread knife blades
Corksrews
?
Thanks in advance.

Try Penn State Industries. They sell corkscrews, wine bottle stoppers, pen innards, and stuff. You put your (usually) turned wood on their components.
http://www.pennstateind.com
is their web site.
Hope this helps.

THANKS!
I knew I used to get a catalog that had tons of that sort of stuff but I never bought anything and so they stopped sending me catalogs a long time ago.
Anything else out there?
There was a thread awhile back on sources for the blades for bread knves -- can't even remember if it was here or at WWA. Anyhoo, it turns out you can use a certain type of bandsaw blade for these, way cheaper than buying the knife blade units, even when you order in quantity. Maybe someone here remembers the thread.
forestgirl Another proud member of the "I Rocked With ToolDoc Club" .... :>) you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
Hello
as far as the saw blade gos, you can call any place that services meat cutting saws. the blade is stainless, you can cut it and then punch a hole in the ends for the screws to make your bread saw. you can get a lot of blades this way.
I got my saw blade for free, a few years ago. the blade broke on the saw, I was lucky to see it go into the garabge.
good luck on your projects.

CherryTree.com has lots of small crafty items. Klockit.com for clocks, music box parts, etc.
Bought a clock from klockit, put a battery in it, thought I would build the clock soon. Didn't. Two weeks later it started getting really erratic. Won't keep time worth a thing.
Sparks,
I used to buy about three hundred clock motors a year from klockit and rarely had a problem. I'd give them another try.
Michael,
For all sorts of wood turnings and small hardware, try http://[email protected] . They are in Woolwich, Maine, and sell wood turnings from all the New England turning mills. Great people to deal with. And good prices.

Thanks, Fred. That's what I needed to hear. I'll get in touch with them and see if they will make it good.
