Which stile and rail router bit for large glass door?
I’m making a display cabinet that will have a fairly large glass door. The door will be 16″ wide by 42″ tall. I plan for the rails to be 3-1/4″ wide and the stiles to be 2-1/2″ wide.
I had originally planned to use the Freud stile and rail set (99-761) that allows for a long tenon to make the door stronger.

But Then…….
I discovered the Freud 99-286 ( http://www.freudtools.com/p-126-glass-panel-cabinet-door-bit-set.aspx ) which is specifically made for glass doors and makes it look soooooo much easier.
Any opinions?

This is the kind of question I call the company about
Call the company. Freud actually has knowledgeable folks who can discuss which router bit set will best meet you requirements. Here is their phone number. (800) 334-4107.
I have one of Freud's raised panel sets, bought it years ago, works well. I've called them in the past regarding saw blade choices and they were very helpful. Just talked with a factory rep last week, a young guy, and was surprised by how well he knew his product line.
Good luck,
