I’m making two 3-drawer cabinet and bought side mount Lontan soft close drawer slides. After installing the drawer slides in the first cabinet and taking the drawer in and out a few times, one of the slides has already malfunctioned and won’t work.
Obviously I need a replacement. Do I buy the same brand or is there a better alternative? I can’t use under-mount slides.
I’m OK buying another set, but want decent quality this time. Thanks.

Accuride
KV, Blum, or Accuride. I had never heard of Lonton. For something like drawer slides it doesn't pay to bargain shop. I don't know if Lonton are bargain slides or not. If they are not they should replace the failing units without a problem.
Ditto! Can;t go wrong with Blum or KV
If a Lontan slide already failed after minimal use, that’s a red flag for durability—especially if you’re building something meant to last. While Lontan is a budget-friendly brand and works for many, it's hit or miss in quality control.
I know that accuride slides for drawer is fine. They offer slides with load capacities from a few pounds to over half a ton and even offer slides with special features, such as soft-close and touch-release. https://www.accuride.com.cn/shop-class/products/2
