Hello everyone,
I’m looking for a simple..so I thought..bearingless beading bit. I’ll try to describe what I’m looking for. A roundover bit but the profile comes to a point at the bottom of the bit, zero diameter at the point lets say. This can’t be a custom bit
Can anyone steer me in the right direction?
Thanks

It's called a point cutting roundover. You need to get and read more catalogs.

You are absolutely right. I'm pretty new to woodworking, I'm mainly a sculptor but my recent designs are more and more leaning to woodworking and furniture..and I like the material much more than foam, that crappy eps beaded stuff. Thank you very much. That bit is exactly what I need.
Any suggestions on catalogs I must have?

Get all of them. I do purchasing for my company and have an 8' x 6' bookshelf full of them. You can learn from reading catalogs.
I was a Sculpture Major in college.
just sometimes the mailman hates you but after a while they will ask some questions

Look at a large beading bit and see if that will do the job. Also look at sign cutting bits, they have something like that too.
Pardon my spelling,
Mike
Make sure that your next project is beyond your skill and requires tools you don't have. You won't regret it.
