Can anyone please tell me how is this wood construction created? See attached picture. The clock dimensions are 12 inches by 12 inches. Are the tiny little pieces glued individually? How?

Yeah, lots of bits of wood glued together. Lots of time and patience.
Have you done this? What is the name of the general type of construction. It's not marquetry, or parquetry, or fret design? or what???
What keeps the design so perfectly geometric and not get lopsided, anywhere.??
Ouch - almost got a migraine just looking at it.
This appears to have been made with marquetry, and the answer to how is skill and practice. Every piece cut to fit the pattern.
You can maintain the geometry by building up smaller parts (like the big jaggy triangles) with their decoration, then trimming those to an exact fit.
You can do something similar with long blocks of wood glued together to make the pattern then sliced up, but this piece was made one little bit at a time.
How are you at carving?
Do you know anything about the clock? Where was it made ? I've seen similar work done in SE Asia. Vietnam particularly. They do some remarkable inlay and marquetry there and seriously under paid for it as well!
