I remember hearing something about Teak Oil that wasn’t very complimentary, but I’m drawing a complete blank. It seems to be recommended for outdoor furniture and other projects. What are its ingredients? Is it best reserved only for outdoor projects?? Thanks!

Teak oil isn't oil from teak. Teak oil is a tung or linseed based finish with additives to make it hold up as well as possible to the weather.
Don't know anything good or bad about it, but it needs to be renewed regularly and may darken the wood considerably over time. It is primarily a boat maintenace item and probably contains much the same materials as oil based deck finishes for home decks.
