The references were to "Badger Pond" which is now gone from cyberspace, unfortunately. Here's a link to their only page, which contains info on transfers of information:

forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
That was a nice place though I remember it fondly. I met some neat people there and there were some really interesting discussions. One that I particularly remember concerned the pruning of trees with black powder rifles ... seems that it was a generallly accepted neighborhood practice.
Ragman,
If you go to woodcentral.com you'll find just about everyone from the old Badger Pond has moved there. Wood Central even created a hand tool board so we Neanderthals would feel at home. You'll also find many of the articles and such are available at the Wood Central site.

There's also a site called "The Oak" that a few went to after The Pond shut down. Pretty solid crowd with several pros hanging out there too. If you want to have some fun....go over and ask who makes the best drum sander! It's a hoot!

Quite a few of their members have moved over to Swmill Creek. Here's the link.
