I am considering purchasing the Veritas router table fence and right angle attachment and am wondering if anyone has used this system and what your opinions are. My main concerns are:
1. does the fence remains flat considering the movement of the lower rails?
2. Is the right angle attachment secure? My main interest is using this attachment to cut box joints and am wondering if there is much play in the arm?
Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Bill

I own the fence, works just fine if you plan on using the table they also sell. Have used the right angle fence ,I detected no play . I bought the veritas router table set up because I worked at lee valley, great staff discount, but I would look at the jessem router lift table, made in canada also but height adjust is much more exact. good luck
I have had the Veritas router table and fence since it first came out. I am completely satisfied with it. I made a cantilevered frame that has 2 dowels that fit in dog holes on my bench and a bolt through the other side of my bench holds it firm. With the table cantilevered out front of my bench it's easy to adjust depth and change bits as the router is wide open and not in a box. With the split fence and the magnetic dust collector included with it connected to my shop vac there is no dust at all with most cutters. The router can be attached or removed from the table in a few seconds with a quick turn of 2 screws. The router base is not removed so the router is available for out of table work without replacing the base plate. After use remove the router, lift the table plate which I store against the wall with a bungy cord, spin off a bolt and lean the cantilever frame against the wall in a corner. I can set up the router table in about 2 minutes and put it away in another 2. I have a small shop and this system saves a lot of space. The cross slide works very well - box joints are easy. Order the Veritas book on their complete router table system - its just a couple of bucks - this will help you understand how the whole system works.
I was told that the router table is one of Lee Valley Tools biggest selling items.
I've been saving for this fence, and am interested in the "reviews" posted here. It's a great price (even without a staff discount). Just read in another thread that LV has a 60-day(?) no-questions-asked return policy. If that is, in fact, the case it's hard to lose trying it out.
