Hi Everyone,
I am completely new here, and found your site while trying to track down some information on this miter box that we found in my grandfathers barn…
It looks an awful lot like a Stanley 358, but the ONLY markings on it are 3/15/04, which according to my research was the patent date that Justus Traut patented (and then assigned to Stanley) the carrier guides that are adjustable to thickness of different saws. I’ve looked and looked, and cannot find another one of these.
Has anyone else come across one, or have any idea exactly what this might be? I am at a complete loss. I have some ideas, but…
Any possible help that anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
