I have used K-V 8400 drawer slides for years, but I’m thinking about stepping out of the box and trying these undermount full-extension self-closing slides. Not cheap, but the action of the Hettich Quadro V-6 intrigued me yesterday when I was in an Amish cabinet shop in Indiana. I have researched a little and popular units seem to be Blum(with blumotion) K-V 9400’s , Melpa, Hettich and Grass. Does anyone have any experience with the various model I mentioned and are they a pain to work with or are they easily adjusted. Notching the drawer box seems pretty straight forward. I would appreciate any feedback.

I have used and liked the Blum's. Just the other day, I looked at the Grass undermounts, and on cursory inspection, it seemed to me they would require a little more futzing than the Blum's. Both are priced at about the same level.
I imagine you have studied them enough to know that your drawers will have to be constructed differently than when using the side mounted slides. It's just a trifle more work time (you have to notch out the back of the drawer), but I find them easy to work with once you get your act together.

Terrylee,
I use the Blum tandems exclusively. Not because the others aren't good, but it's the kind of thing that once you decide on a brand you stick to it. I can't be bothered with re-evaluating which to use all the time.
Used Grass for several years. The glide motion is excellent, but their soft-closing mechanism is not. Also never liked the plastic attachment clips in the front.
Tried Hettich also. Their slide has the advantage (where I am) of being somewhat cheaper. It's also a very good slide, but I found that both the Hettich and Grass were more susceptible to problems caused by dust in the shop than the Blum. None of them appreciate getting showered with dust but the Hettich suffered most.
Never worked with the KV or Mepla.

I use Blum tandem plus. Great slides, several mounting options. Readily available from many cabinet supply houses. Even picked up a dozen on eBay for under 80% of the lowest wholesale price I could find.
The newest Blums are superb (same as their older models except improved soft closure). Really great quality, and so easy to remove and reinstall.
