I happen to have a nearly endless supply of free Raw Tung Oil, in the unthinned state. What drier should I add to it. It doesn’t dry by itself. Maybe it does I gave up on it after two days.
Someone told me to mix the Tung oil with Linseed oil and something else for a good finsih. Does that ring any bells?

Stilletto,
Pure tung oil takes about a week, under most weather conditions, for a dry-to-the-touch partial cure, and IIRC, about a month or so for a complete cure. A 50% - 50% mix with mineral spirits or turpentine will speed the "drying" time somewhat, but the curing will still take about as long.
If you want a quick-drying finish, tung oil (or linseed oil -- raw or boiled) is probably not what you want to use (try shellac or lacquer, instead).
Beste Wünschen auf ein glückliches und wohlbehaltenes Neues Jahr!

I just need the oil to dry, not in a few hours or anything. I left it for two days and it still wasn't dry.
This oil is free and I want to use it on a few pieces I am about to finish. But if I can't get it to dry I'll need to find something else.
I just wanted to avoid buying more Formsby's when I had buckets of this stuff already.
Japan drier helps some. I finally gave up and switched to Waterlox. For me it's either that or shellac from here on out.
I was told that japan drier would work, I will try it out on a sample board to get the mixture right.
I have used Shellac or Tung oil for all my finishes in the past, now that I can get this oil for free I want to use it.
I appreciate the replys.
