Hi,
Yes, but let your finish cure for a while before you do.
Peter
Hi Peter, could you give me a better idea of the time frame for drying time of the Tung Oil. before I add paste wax.
Thanks
If it's pure tung oil, it takes a considerable time to cure. I'm assuming it's a tung oil varnish. Two or three weeks should be fine.
What is the project?
Peter
Hi Peter, the project is two medium sized decorative boxes made of walnut front and sides the lid is done with walnut and oak with a design carved on top with my Carvewright machine they really came out nice. the front, back and sides of the boxes were assembled by 45 deg. angles, and then I added oak miter keys. The gloss tung oil made by Homer Formby made a very easy to apply and beautiful finish.
