Which is the better clamp and straightedge the Tru-Grip pro series or the All In One ultrawide? Not trying to start an ez vs festool argument Just want to know whether I should get a Tru-Grip or All In One. Can’t dedicate a saw to a system.
Thanks in advance

I use the true grip straight edge clamps, but I don't know about the "all in One".
Do you have a link?

The link for it is herehttp://www.amazon.com/Clamp-U99-5-Ultra-Double-T-Track/dp/B0000DYV3W
That's obviously a refined version of the Tru-Grip guide/clamps. Their 8 footer is about $90, and I don't think it would be much more than that to buy the EZ guides.I have several sets of the Tru-Grips, but only up to 4'. With either of the guides you are asking about, I would think deflection might be a problem in 8' lengths. What do you want to use them for, again?********************************************************

Just want to use them for ripping and crosscutting plywood. I made my wife a sewing table 2 months ago and since my mother in law had me make her one I now have about 5 to make. Thanks.
In that case why don't you just make yourself up two shooting boards -- one for cross cuts, and another for long rips? They are easy to make, accurate, and you don't have to measure the offset for the saw (which you have to do with a clamp on guide. I've used such shooting boards for years -- both for CS cutting and routing.********************************************************

I've got some Tru-Grips but wasnt familiar with the other one. I clicked on your link though, and my first impression is not really liking the slanted edges. I'm probably imagining a problem where it doesn't exist, but I wondered about initial router startup and whether it might be possible to have it kick up above the very low vertical edge portion. I think I'd personally prefer the straight vertical sides on the Tru-Grips. I do think the T-Track slots on the All-In-One might be a nice feature for attaching stop blocks though. Except for my Tru-Grip Back-To-Back style clamps, my T-G's are narrower (and shorter) than All-In-One you're looking at. Is the T-G you're looking at as wide as the other one, and if so does it have T-track slots too?
If you build it he will come.
