I’m upgrading my table saw and router (in the wing of the table saw). My old 1 HP sears 1/4″ can’t do much with bigger bits.
The Triton router looks like a real winner for router tables. But, going to amazon, I saw one review where the reviewer complained that the router quit working in a couple of weeks.
Has anyone had experience with this router? Thanks for the input.

Hi,
I was just reviewing post on another forum and there is a review on this particular router. Check it out! http://cerealport.net/woodworking/triton

I have the triton mounted in a table and I love it. Easy bit changes and height adjustment and plenty of power.
Tom, I have talked to a couple of people who have spoken of concerns with the type of collet in the Triton router. Have you had any problems or do you see any potential problems with same?
The only concerns I know of with the colet had to do with the 1/4" adapter. It was designed so the slot in the adapter had to be installed in a certain direction. Triton has since changed the 1/4" collet adapter design and has sent the redesigned part to people with the old style if they had contact information. I don't foresee any problems with the collet otherwise. Tom
I have a review of this router on my web site if you are interested, I haven’t had any problems with it.
