Hey folks,
Am I crazy?
Have this idea of using a material like TREK for building some porch window frames on my router table. Rail and Stile type building. benefits are NO Rot! Have been trying to reasearch its expansion properties. Do not want shattered window panes. I know it will be heavier and possibly too flexible. Has anyone ever cut TREK or similar on a table saw and then routered it. It does cut pretty smooth on a chop saw.

Its that composite plastic milk jug decking. Pick up any home improvement or outdoor home magazine and find the big pretty pictures of huge decks overlooking oceans and other scenic attractions..
Imagine MDF combined with recycled milk jugs and pop bottles. Waterproof, UV resistant yadda yadda yadda.
Indestructable like Hardy Plank, huh? I once threw a piece of unpainted Hardy Plank out on the ground behind my garage. 1 year later it had turned to mush.

FYI: It's TREX, not TREK.

Also, Trex has been the topic of many, many threads in Breaktime. Do a search over there and you'll find tons of discourse.
