Have any of you built the tool cabinet from issue 188? If so, I have a question for you. In the article it says to cut off approximately the front third of the cabinet to make the doors, further on in the article it says cut off the front quarter to make the doors. Just wondering what other people did when building their tool cabinet.

Decide for yourself, based on what you plan on hanging on the inside of the doors. If it's just chisels and saws, then you'll be ok with 1/4. Adjust your depth based on the tools YOU have, and plan on having in the future.
Someone with larger marking tools, etc....will want a wider depth to the doors.
