Speaking of shellac. Can I add Tints All or TransTint colorants to white-pigmented shellac Bin primer-sealer to get a one-step, but dark, primer?

The can says that BIN can be tinted with universal colors, so TransTint should work as well. But the can also recommends using Bullseye 1-2-3 DEEP TINT instead for dark colors (1-2-3 is a water-based acrylic primer, not shellac). This is because there is so much titanium dioxide in BIN that you can't add enough color to get a dark shade without compromising the integrity of the finish.
