After looking at the FWW article on moisture meters, I still was unsure… for the relatively inexpensive meter that it is, is the Timber Check moisture meter good, or am I better off spending the extra money on a Wagner, Lignomat, etc? I’m not looking for lots of bells and whistles (like storage of misc species corrections), but a basic and relatively accurate meter.
I hate being cheap only to recognize that I blew part of the money for a good piece of equipment on a cheap P.O.S…

My father has that moisture meter and he has never had any problems with it. I have picked up lumber form a lumber yard had it test with there high end tester before I bought it and then retested it when I got home with dads and it was spot on.

Thanks for the input! At $60 compared to the $100+ competition, I think I'll give one a shot and see how I like it.
