What can I say ….? Thanks. For the turning forum.
I’m by no means a master turner. Nor do I anticipate ever becoming one. But it’s great to have a table at the Knots pub where turners might congregate and where I can eavesdrop on their discussions.
Cool!

Hi Dennis,
Glad you are here to participate. I'm a big fan of woodturning as well so I'm looking forward to good things to come.

Hey, Dennis, isn't it cool?! Guess what?....my friend Ron just bought a big lathe which means his poor little Jet mini-lathe might need a new home soon. Should I? Should I? Methinks I should at least consider it..... ROFL!

Get it! I don't know about you, but I have been tempted to get one of the mini lathes for years. I figure it is small enough to put in the car when I go visit my in-laws. This way I can at least turn some pens and/or some small things while I am there and away from my shop. Hmmm, does your friend live near NC?
Sorry, we're on the other side of the country! My family was originially from NC though, really would like to get back there!
Only way I'm tempted to buy one is if I can get it used. This is the idea situation since I know him and the fact that he's hardly used the lathe at all. Jury is out as to whether he wants to seel it though. Jamie -If your friend decides to sell it, and if you don't want it, let me know. I'm finding that there are times when a small mini lathe would come in handy. Like when we go to the Copalis with the RV and I get bored picking up sand dollars (grin)
