Anyone know anything about the Accusquare M1050 rip fense from Cule Cabnet Maker? Price is reasonable and they make it sound, well sound. Of course they always do.

There are several members here who have retrofitted older saws with the Accusquare and been quite happy with it. One thing that might take some getting used to is the fact that to fasten the fence down, you turn a knob rather than push a lever. Not my favorite approach, but I'll probably go for it anyway, for my dinosaur Jet contractors saw.

Forestgirl, why not upgrade to a Bies or Bies clone w/ a typical lever-style clamp?
Jake
Can't see paying for a biese for this old saw, since my next saw will probably come with the Biese or clone. Whatever I get for the old Jet will be sold with it, so I don't want to sink so much $$ into it. forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
I've got an accusquare fence on my old jet tablesaw and like it fine, the knob vs lever isn't an issue - it locks quickly and securely.
Hey Kurt - called the psychiatrist to cancel - they said he was shopping at Sears.
I saw this fence demo'd at a woodshow in Calgary about 4 years ago - talked to the guy doing the demo quite a bit about how it was made because it didn't look rigid enough at first glance. After going over it with him and how it's reinforced from the inside where it locks to the rail , it's definitely well designed and plenty sturdy. I wasn't in the market for one but the demo caught my eye and I found it interesting. When I built the fence for the bandsaw (remember the bandsaw) I used the same idea of the knob instead of the lever (simpler to make) and it works fine.
BTW, Acklands Grainger is the same company as Grainger in the USA. Acklands (Canadian) was bought by Grainger a few years ago.

Jim,Outstanding! I'll head to Grainger first thing Tuesday morning (my day off the real job) and check into some pullies. And from what you and Forestgirl have said, the Accufence sounds like it might be an affordable and quality way to go for me.You guys are the BOMB! (A little cultural lingo from the old folks never hurt anyone did it?)Talk to ya soon,
Kurt
