I’m not new here but crawling out of the sawdust so you all know whe JDB is. I’m Jerry from Port Angeles Washington. That’s the state where well known Forrestgirl is from. Live in Washington most of my life which started before 1950. I manage an automotive repair shop in PA. Built my own garage converted into a three-bedroom home and finally built a 400 sq.ft. shop for wood working only. I would have built larger but could not justify a larger shop because of permits and the damn tax man. I have your basic unisaw, bandsaw, jointer and planer. So far I have built a dining table with slid out extensions, kitchen island with cabs and four drawer unit with the a slide out for this laptop. My next project is the folding dining table in FWW #165 by Mr. Krase. My first attemp at mortise and tennons and splayed legs. It looks very daunting but you gotta challenge yourself now and then. This will be a present for my daughter who graduates from WASSU in May. She starts, in her words my first real job, for PNL engineering in downtown Seattle. Just a little gloat cause I’m so damn proud, tuition broke but proud. Going over the pond this weekend to the Tacoma woodworking show if I have a couple of free hours would consider checking out all the NW woodworkers get together in Fremont if there is still room. Thanks to all the woodworkers that contribute their experise and advise on this forum, beginners and pros.
