I surely don’t mind paying for good content on the internet, but I just paid $99.00 hoping that would get me full access to FWW but now I am asked for another $34.95 to access the members only stuff. I really didn’t want a magazine that comes to my house, I mean who reads paper anymore. I will pay, but I think FWW should make this more clear.
A good explanation of what you will get for either $99 or an additional price. I don’t want a 14 day free trial, I just wanted full access to FWW without a hassle.

I agree that there are a few different models there that may not be real forthcoming with what you get for the bucks but I'm an Unlimited member and have not had an issue with accessing anything. That's why I chose the Unlimited option. To my understanding it covers everything including print subscription as well whether you want it or not and absolutely the members only option. That's why I chose it (though I think it's maybe a little pricey) to take away the guess work. I think you need to contact the subscription department. Hopefully you will be able to get someone to help you. That seems to be Taunton's biggest problem. No real customer service.
If you signed up for unlimited you have full access. Unfortunately the Taunton system does not filter subscribers from the marketing email blasts. We all wish that it did.
I was just thinking how annoying this was today. I am glad I am not the only one
Unlimited membership offers a huge amount of content, and I believe is worth it. It is not really completely unlimited, because you still have to pay for additional content in online courses. I suspect that the time and effort to produce the online courses justify the extra expense, but I will wait until I have availability to a shop with the required tools to really benefit from them.
DallasDave,
This is how I understand the subscription levels:
Tier 1: $28 You get the print mag mailed to you and have access to the digital versions of your print mags here on the website.
Tier 2: $34.95 You get the digital version of the mag here on this website but no print mag. You also get to view some of the "members only" stuff like Video Workshops.
Tier 3: $99 You get everything. The print mag, the digital mag, and everything on the website including the plans library and issue archives.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong about this.
Mike
There are additional online classes that aren't covered. And I think there are still plans that have to be purchased.
If I'm wrong, I'd be happy to hear it.
I wish there was an option for unlimited subscribers to decline the print option. Mine usually never gets opened.

I wouldn't be so quick to discount the value of having a paper copy of a magazine like FWW. If you should decide that the unlimited subscription isn't worth it to you any more, or FWW simply stops publishing (nothing lasts forever), you will have nothing left to refer to.
The same is true of streaming music and video. If there are music compilations, books, movies or TV that you really want to have forever, then you had better get it in a hard format. It wouldn't hurt to get an extra media player for the future as well.
For the record, we have Dish, Roku and Spotify, so I'm not a Luddite. However, I can foresee the day when I'll be glad that I can read, view and listen to what I want, when I want, and I wouldn't have that ability if I relied on online or streaming services.
I am glad you brought this up, Even if you have the "unlimited" membership, you still get the marketing emails AND the website still shows the subscribe button in the top right. subscribe to what? I thought I bought the unlimited membership? I have asked about this several times but I have never gotten a response.
