Got this in an email and thought it might help in appreciating how little impact spelling errors make in our comprehension of a message. It is great fun.

Has anyone heard the story of Ladle Rat Rotten Hut? It first came to my attention many moons ago, during Peace Corps training (to be teachers of English as a second language in French-speaking Africa).

That is a good one. But it also illustrates a problem misspelling causes: difficulty in finding something. I searched for "Ukrainian" and couldn't find your joke to send to someone.

I forwarded that one to my wife, and hope she thinks it's funny too.
I believe Mark Twain said something to that effect that "It's a poorly educated man who can only spell a word one way."
Funniest thing is that everyone can read and understand it. If you're meticulous about spelling and grammar, you get more comments about the word you use or the placement of a comma than you do about the idea you were trying to get across.
