Hello all I am looking to buy software to do segmented turning. I have seen two different maker’s- Woodturner Studio Software at $70.00 and Woodturnerpro at $50.00. You can also buy 3D Design PRO at $35.00 and Lamination PRO at $50.00 or altogther for $99. Do you have any preferences as to which Software would be easier to use or which one do you suggest for someone who has been turning for a year. I appreciate any advice you could give. Thank you, Jim |

Sorry, I can't help with advise on these programs but thank you for bringing them to my attention. They sound interesting.
This makes me wonder....

I use Segmented Project Planner. It works pretty well and the support is outstanding. I ran across a couple of bugs/problems when I was using the software and the guy fixed the bugs right away and sent me the updates. The software is also reasonably priced.
The Segmented Project Planner has a feature to help you make zigzags.
It doesn't do third generation laminations or 3-D rendering of shapes. The fancier software does that stuff.
This is a pretty good package to get started with.
Thanks for the info
Jim
