Does anyone have any information on a delta sliding table for a delta table saw?
Are they worth the money, thinking of getting my wife one for Christmas?

My friend bought one a few months ago.He loves it! And he's one fusey guy. Nice gift. Ron
Thanks for the information Rob, I'm sure she's going to love it, I'm even going to help her set it up.

You might want to check out the Dewalt. It can be adapted I've heard and it probably is better than the Delta sliding table.

Thanks, great idea, I'll check out the dewalt, probably cheaper. Delta's going for 400.00 plus, looks like overkill.
Thanks,

Recall a post about the utterguys.com having for $399 with free shipping perhaps. I might be mistaken but saw it fairly recent.

I have the Delta sliding table on my Unisaw. When I first installed it (about 8 hours after I started the installation) it seemed like the cat's meow. Now, were I to do it again, I would look hard at the Exactor. Saw it at the Phila. show a month ago, and it is far superior (and a bit pricier as well, of course). All in all, I would rate Delta's as Ok, so-so, etc.
I would tend to agree. The dewalt is nice but it's small compared to the Exactor and Excalibur. Laguna sells the Roblnd slider and Grizzly has an add on as well. For small I'd look at Robland and Dewalt. For plywood it's the Excalibur and Exactor.

I have a review of the delta slider some info on modifications for it, and a “survey of sliding tables” article if you are wanting to do some research on the subject.
The delta is okay for what it costs, I like the dewalt for a number of reasons and there are those who have installed it on non-dw746 saws.

i would be interested in that review and modifications. I recently bought the delta slider at a great price but haven't decided if I want to install it or hold out for the excaliber or exactor.
I would be interested in seeing the article on modifications. Is it on the web? Thanks.
