Hi All, I am just finishing up my new wood shop ( small 18 ft. by 18 ft.) , i used 3/4 t&g wafer board for floor with no plans at this time to top it off with anything.
NOW !!! i think how will it ware?, will the chips start to seperate? can i coat it with something and will it stick?, boy i shure could use some input on this, Thanks,

I would paint the floor with a good quality porch floor paint, and if you use a light color it will help to brighten your shop. I would not be concerned about the chips separating. What is beneath the wafer board ?

I tend to have the same (implied) concern as Robert. If the flooring is over concrete slab on grade, I trust you installed a vapor barrier between it and the flooring.
No, I doubt that the chips will flake out but would agree that a coat of deck paint would be in order. Imagine trying to find a small screw on that floor! (grin)
