Hello everyone.
I have a question for all that buy tools and dont know what they are for but since its on sale they buy it anyway. Case in point. I was going thru some boxes in my shop and found a tool called a sharpening attachment . It was manufactured by Rockwell and it is a model 5013 formerly 5011-51 It for sharpening router bits.and cutters. Still new in the box. I bought it in Feb 1997. No instructions . Any help would be appreciated. and thank you all in advance.

Measure it with a micrometer, mark it with chalk, cut it with an ax.

Wood, if it's anything like the one I have to sharpen spiral planer cutters, it fits over the router motor.(in place of the router base)
A horizontal shaft holds the cutter, while an indexing finger 'rides' the perifery of the spiral and a small conical stone chucked in the router motor shaves a tiny bit off the edges.
Works fine on both straight and spiral cutters
The unit was made by Stanley who made the planer attachment. Stein.
