I just purchased a Bosch 5412L. I am assuming the included blade is functional but not great. I am interested in advice on a set of blades to cover both finish and rough work. The saw will see some heavy work in framing and deck installation and finish work in cabinets, moldings, and occasional furniture. Materials include both hard and soft wood. Advice on thin and regular kerf will be appreciated.

I use a Forrest Chopmaster and an FS Tool. Both give excellent quality cuts and have been going strong for years. The FS Tool is a little less expensive and may be a little more suitable in a professional shop.
Thanks
Take a look on e-bay you can often find "new old stock" blades for a very good price. I would get several blades at least one with 32-40 teeth for the rough stuff and a 60-90 tooth one for the fine cuts.

Thanks for your help
I would stick with full kerf for a 12" blade. The benefits of a TK are less noticeable for crosscuts anyway. You'll want a blade with a low to negative hook angle. I haven't used the Bosch blade, but my understanding is that it's not bad. For top shelf blades, check out Infinity, Forrest, Ridge Carbide, Amana Tool, CMT, Freud Industrial. For "best bang for the buck" deals, I'd look into the Leitz closeouts from Mike Jackson - 35-654 12" z80 ATB -Negative Hook- 1" bore $25, or check out the Oshlun and Amana A.G.E deals from Holbren

I finally bought a Forrest Chopmaster blade for my 12" DeWalt. Man. what was I waiting for? I cuts so slick and easy. The cuts look like they wood was polished. This is the only blade I have used besides the OEM DeWalt that came on it so I don't have a lot to compare to, but I don't think I could ask for anything better.
