I have a delta Unisaw that was given to me by the company that I work for. The saw was stored in a metal pole building that was not climate controlled. The result of this is that the top has rusted quite badly. I want to know if anyone has some idea as to how to remove the rust and restore the top back to it’s original condition or as close as possible?
Thanks

There are several methods that are all effective to some degree. The best I've used is a product called Boeshield rust remover. It should be available at wood stores. Follow the instructions.
I've also had success with WD-40 and a scotch brite under a palm sander, but the Boeshield worked better for me.
For rust prevention, Boeshield also has a top rated product T-9. I like to follow that with a couple of coats of paste wax.
Thanks Scotty, I'll give that a try.
