router bits – spiral vs boring point?
Hi,
Anyone have comments on the ability of straight bits with boring points (or similar features) for routing mortises? Are they much better than regular straight bits for mortising? How do they stack up, in general, to spiral bits for mortising?
thanks,
jp

In my view, no. Solid carbide twist bits are as good as they get for blind plunging.
