I purchased this saw 35 years ago and keep it at the cabin. Unfortunately I lost the nut for the saw blade. Delta has sent me three, but, they don’t fit. This saw is prob. 40 years old, but, works fine. Anyone know where I can get that ‘nut’?

If the threads are vee shaped, rather than a square shouldered Acme thread, the threading is probably a 5/8 inch diameter by 18 threads per inch which you can find at a good hardware store. It is a fine thread, which isn't nearly as common as coarse threaded nuts, but a store with a wall full of those little drawers full of hardware should be able to turn it up. The nut may be thicker than the old one but that shouldn't be a problem.
If the threading is Acme thread, it may not be a standard sizing and would be difficult to match.

Could get one made in a local machine shop?
Try the Old Woodworking Machinery website. Someone will know ,then you can order it online from Enco or any supplier of fastners. You may be able to get the nut at a hardware store too.
