A friend asked for a recommendation for a jobsite type saw. I was going to tell him to get the Ridgid at Home Depot but when I went online to check the price they didn’t have it listed. I guess there was a safety recall. Any suggestions?

I have a older Ridgid TS but not the contractor one. I ocassionally use a dado set on my saw without problems. However, I never go over 3/4 inch width.
Now I wonder if I should stop?
It says for date codes between 1/09 and 7/09 If you have the older saw then there's no problem. If you were to buy a ridgid now the problem has been corrected.
