As part of a kitchen makeover, I am planning to remove the oak plywood panels from cathedral kitchen cabinet doors and replace them with glass. Any suggestions on how to best remove the panels without destroying the doors. Thanks

The easiest way to remove the panels would be to use a piloted rabbeting bit in a router table.
The bearing would ride on the inside molded edge of the front of the door frame and cut the inset for the glass on the back of the frame as it also removed the remains of the panel. The bulk of the panel would first be removed with a jigsaw to within a half inch or so of edges of the frame. It is possible that once the bulk of the panel is cut away the remainder of the panel caught in the groove could be broken easily and pulled out with a pair of pliers.
