My son has “Distressed” a cherry coffee table I made. There are light scratches and a few dents. As well the wax finish does not have the same lustre it once had.
The original finish was a few coats of tried and true with Minwax furniture wax. Now I would like to bring it back to the same finish it originally had. I tired putting another coat of wax on it but was not really pleased with the results. Any thoughts on what I could do to improve the finish?
Thanks,
S7

Apply another coat of T&T. First remove the wax with mineral spirits. Keep a clean face on the rag to prevent just smearing the wax around. Do it twice.
Keep in mind that T&T is a very soft and not very durable finish. If it is heavily damaged, you may have to use 4/0 steel wool to smooth out the damaged areas.
You could also contact T&T and ask them for recommendations.
