Primer for General Finishes Enduro Pigmented Polly
I am making a day bed for my daughter that will be painted. The wood is maple and I plan to use General Finishes Enduro Pigmented Polly tinted to the requested color for the top coat. Has anyone used shellac as a primer/sealer in this situation? I plan to shellac the drawer insides anyway and believe it would be easier to just apply a coat or two to the whole bed and then the GF Enduro rather than add an extra step with a dedicated primer. Thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

As long as you use a dewaxed shellac, the GF Enduro should work just fine as a primer.
Whenever you are mixing finishes, you should test them out on scrap to be sure they play nicely together. Never let your project be your test case.
In general shelac sticks to everything and everything sticks to shelac. It's a great interior primer for little projects like that.
