As a general rule I usually purchase only Freud, Whiteside or CMT router bits. However, PriceCutter.com has some interesting patterns in their catalog that none of the others have. I would like to hear from those of you who have purchased and used PriceCutter.com bits, and how they compare to the brand names mentioned above. Thanks.

I have 4-5 various types of router bits from Price Cutter (painted black). They all work very well with clean cuts and decent quality bearings. I can not say how well they would hold up under heavy use as I have only used them a few times. Like you I generally I prefer Freud but Price Cutter offers fair prices as well as a good selection. Shipping has always been prompt etc. I hope this helps!

The black Price Cutter bits I've used are actually quite good....roughly comparable to Katana or Bosch. No quite at Whiteside level, but very good. The green "bargain bits" are more comparable to most lower cost Asian imports.
