Powermatic Trunnion Alignment Problem
Hello All,
I have been struggling to accurately adjust the blade on my Powermatic 63 table saw to align with the miter gage slots. I’ve tried everything I can think of, and am now contemplating enlarging the mounting holes on the trunnion with a burr grinder to allow the adjustment I need. I don’t think it should be necessary to grind the mounting holes, so before I do that, can anyone offer advice on what I may be over looking?
Thanks for your help.
Bill B.

I have an old Powermatic 65. I'm not sure how yours is made but from what I've seen you just fix it. If the only way to get it to align is to enlarge the holes them enlarge them.
Without seeing it I can't say for sure. But if you have looked at it and that is the answer then go ahead.
Both the front and rear trunnions are moveable have you shifted both?

I had one and I found the problem wasn't at the trunnion as it was with the top mounting holes. The Taiwan models were very sloppy. Could never get it within 1/16th of alignment. Enlarged the TOP holes, not trunnion, and brought the whole thing into perfect square.

Maybe these are what you need?
