I have a dilemma and need some help. I ordered a PM 60B in March but they are on back order. In the mean time I found a new DJ20 (not an X5)for the same sale price. All things being equal now which jointer would you choose and why? Thanks in advance for your help 😮

Neither! for that sort of money I'd buy the Grizzley with the spiral cutterhead.. you don't know sweet untill you use a spiral. quiet, smooth and it's so cheap and easy to keep it sharp.
Model G0543 $1195.00
Or save the $400 bucks and for $795 get a 4 blade cutterhead model G0500
If it were me I'd go for the spiral cutterhead.. Sweet!!!!!!
I would also recommend doing some research on the Grizzly's. The G0500 is on sale now for $775. I have ordered the G0543 but it is backordered 4 to 6 weeks. I am patiently awaiting delivery. Their are some excellent reviews on the WWW of the Grizzly, a link to one review is below. My second choice would have been the Delta DJ20, but I thing the Grizzly is better. I do not like the way the motor is mounted in the DJ20, does not look very sturdy IMHO. Also, with the Grizzly's you get a 4 blade cutter head or 4 rows of carbide cutters which will give a smoother finish.

Life is what happens to you when you're making other plans .
I agree with the folks above. You can get a Grizzly 8" jointer in the same price range as the others' 6" machines. Search the archives and you'll see that the Griz 8" jointer has an excellent reputation amongst people who really use it.
