Depending on condition, I'd think 60-70% of new would be appropriate for a machine of that caliber and age..... ~ $1200-$1500 ballpark seems fair. Less is always ok too!
Just a guess...

I assume your referring to the above statement. Well, I am a hobbyist woodworker, and I have a professional full time job. I was milling some hardwood flooring for myself, and I was at the point of ripping to final size. In my experiance (5+ yrs) there is no substitute for my hands, as far as getting the best results and moving somewhat at a good pace. Having to put them closer to the blade than I like or feel comfortable, I started to look at the saw stop saw. Once in a while I see some one that had a ts accident, and with todays technology? So I want to replace my pm66 with a saw stop saw. I do love my pm66, but I love my 10 digits more. I really hope that the powematic's, delta's, general's and so on adopt this type of safety equipment. I can see no reason why they would not want to. I think they missed the boat as far as making a safer product! Plus, if you could take the most dangerous piece of equipment in your shop, and make it a non-issue, why not?
