Hi, I’m new to this, but I thought somebody might have an answer to my problem. I have a new PM2000 tablesaw, and I can only get a blade height of about 2 1/4″. Has anybody else had this problem? I’ve had the saw now for about 10 months without ever realizing it. I’ll probably call them Monday if nobody knows about this problem, but I thought there might be an easy fix.

First thing I'd check is that the lever for the riving knife is not sticking up. That'd bottom out on the casting and stop you.
After that get your head under it with a flashlight. Theres not a lot in the way of potential culprits. It'd have to be a loose bolt snagging somewhere. My money is on the riving knife lever.

Make sure that the flip handle that locks the riving knife in its holder is pointed horizontal and not straight up. If it is pointed straight up or a little towards the back it will hit the underside of the table and stop the blade at a reduced height...oddly enough right around what you describe. Don't ask how I know all this. I have not done it with my PM2000, honest, cross my fingers and all that stuff. (OK, once, but THATS IT!)

thank you both for your help. it turned out to be the bolt that limits the height of the blade had either been loose and slipped down, or it was that way from the time i bought it. i sure will watch out for the riving knife. i looked how i had it, and sure enough, it wasn't set correctly. after i found the bolt and adjusted it, i had to turn the lock for the riving knife to the horizontal position.
i guess i hadn't sawed anything over 2 1/4 since i got the machine.
Another thing I ran across was one day I'd kick it on and the blade would drop a tad. You sure can't get your eyes on it but on the side of the blade opposite the motor there's a bolt and lock washer. Its down below so you can't see it from top, you just have to lie on your back and feel your way around, but you can feel it. If you look at what pieces move in blade height adjustment, there's obviously a cog directly under the blade, and if its not snug, it slips. That was the culprit there.

That's exactly what happened with me. It was quite simple, but I didn't realize it was there.
