I have a couple of old B&D cordless drills. They are the Kodiac models # 2651 & 2661.
They both are 13.2 volts and are good tools. The one weak point I’ve found is
the trigger forward/reverse lever breaks and so I have to replace the trigger.
I contacted my local B&D service center and they said they no longer supply the trigger but a 12 volt will fit kind of.
Does anyone know where I can get an original replacement trigger? They were made in Germany and sold through B&D.
The other option is to retire it and buy a new more powerfull and lighter one

What would you rather do with your time? How long will it take you to fix the drills? How long will it take doing whatever it is you do for money to buy a new one?
Uncle Dunc,
The batteries on cordless tools won't last forever and they usually cost almost as much to replace as buying an entirely new tool, presuming you could get the replacement batteries, which is questionable since you can't get the switch.
I've had limited experience with German cordless tools but I found that the batteries didn't hold up well, usually failing to hold a charge after a couple of years.
I'd replace the switch if it wasn't expensive, but it probably isn't worth putting a lot of money into a tool that has been orphaned by its manufacturer, that alone usually tells you something about the tool's reliability and the maker's integrity.
Go by a Makita, their drills have a well deserved reputation for reliability. I recently bought a replacement switch and replcement handle assembly for a drill that was at least 20 years old and the price for the parts was reasonable.

They want $34 for the trigger. I can get down there some time and look at it. Over the phone he wasn't sure about the connectors being the same.
Maybe I'll have a look at the trigger and then decide whether to retire it.
