I’ve come across what can best be described as a prehistoric router. All metal construction, must weigh 15 lb.s +, 1/2 inch collet. The name plate says it was built by the Unit Electric Tool Co. of Syracuse, NY. I did a google search and came up empty. Does any one know of this company or this router? Art

Must be old ................ iirc, Porter Cable bought Unit Electric in 1948.
Thanks for the info. The thumbscrew that clamps the body to the frame looks identical to todays PC. It's buit like a tank and still works. Thanks, Art
