Hope this is in the right place.
Got some old issues available for adoption. They’re worth a small fortune, but I’ll take a reasonable offer. Make an offer for all the FWW or FHB or both, and pay the actual UPS shipping cost. I won’t break up the sets any worse than they already are. I’m posting this at Breaktime also, in the “old issues for sale” section … imagine that.
FHB
41-50, 91-93, 95-100, 102-104, 106-154
FWW
76-129, 131-137, 139, 142-177

We used to have an old issues section, but it passed away with the old forum structure. Up in the "light blue" bar, you'll see a Classifieds tab. I'm sure they'll do OK here though.

Ed,
Don't bet on those mags being worth a small fortune. $2.95 each or less on ebay. Only the first 35-40 issues will fetch $5.00 each, with issue #1 about $30 and issue #2 about $15
Good Luck,
Lee
There's one other one that can fetch a healthy price, under the right alignment of moon and starts, and that is the one with the Stanley #55 plane on the front, and big article within. Don't remember the issue number at the moment, but seems to me I've seen it fetch $20 or so. I sold one years ago.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
Dear Woodworkingmam, Issue #38 of FWW is the one with the Stanley #55.
I have one of them in my collection along with a #45, both of which still get used when I get a little nostalgic.
"when I get a little nostalgic." A glass of wine, some Madonna, and an issue #38. ROFL!!!
That's assuming you were in your teens or early '20's in 1983. Me? Nostalgia= Janis Joplin; The Beatles; Fleetwood Mac; like that.

ForestgirlMy message to you was interrupted so I'll try again.I'm afraid your nostalgia would be a bit too noisy for me.
1983, I was one year a way from retirement! Please explain "issue #45" and "ROFL!!!" I'm a little puzzled
Sorry! I meant #38. ROFL = Rolling on the floor laughing.
My first draft of that post had Benny Goodman as the musician. Too funny. My music tastes go back to the Big Band era, as my brother is 18 yrs older, and was a professional musician who cut his clarinetist's teeth on Goodman and Shaw.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)

Your brother was born about the time I graduated from high school.Ive been on the computer most of the day redesigning my Adirondack chair to include a curved back and a glider base.thanks for the response.
"Your brother was born about the time I graduated from high school." That would make you around 94 years old! You're close on the heels of my 101-year-old father-in-law!
Oh, well, we've screwed this thread up complete I guess. Sorry!
