Hi;
New to the forum and looking forward to hearing from those who have already “blazed the trail”. I’ve recently purchased a RIDGID R4512. I am pretty pleased with the ts so far, but I can’t live with the stamped steel extensions. I’ve been able to get my hands on two SawStop CI extnesions that match up perfectly size wise. Problem is that the ts has a 3 hole setup while the extension have a 4 hole. I can mark and drill the two outside holes on the extensions however the center hole would force the drilling right through the point of a triangle shaped brace on the underside of the extension.
My questions are: Do you think two bolts would be sufficient to hold them (they weight about 31lbs. each)? What are your thoughts on dilling through the bracing? I believe it would be difficult to get a bolt to tighten up in this triangular shaped point.
Thanks and looking forward to being a part of this outstanding resource for woodworkers.

bolt holes
I'd be hesitant to support that much weight with just two bolts. In fact, three might not be sufficient, depending on the design on the main table of the saw (e.g. how thick, how strong, etc.).
Bolt Holes
I tend to agree. I'm thinking of dilling and tapping additional holes in the ts table. Problem will be to get the hole in the right spot so as not to have any alignment problems when mounting the new extensions.
Alignment
a slightly larger hole for the bolt to pass through will allow re-alignment entering the threads

Alignment
"Measure thrice before the splice." Or, something like that. ;-)
I would carefully measure and draw plans that show the internal webbing of both castings as a means of mapping out the best locations for the holes. Due to the potential for different spacing of the internal support/rigidity vanes, the spacing might not be on even intervals. As suggested, slightly larger holes in the wings will give some wiggle room for alignment.
FWIW...........
The PM2000 uses 3 bolts per wing. One consideration might be the hardness of those bolts. I would think 3 would be sufficient, 2 is not.
I agree the best thing to do is drill the holes slightly oversized to allow for adjustment.
Thanks For the Tips
I just wanted to update all who responded to my "need some advice" post. I drilled the three holes in the ci extensions to match the holes in the R4512. Fit perfectly and I am very pleased with the upgrade of my RIDGID ts. I also just installed a Delta T2 fence and now the saw is perfect for my small shop environment.
Thanks for the help...
