need help on quote for built in bookcase

Hello everyone,
I wanted to pick your brains for a quote for a build in book case.
The client is looking for me to make her a bookcase made from ply with mahogany sides and edged with solid.
there will be crown molding around the top.
The top will be open bookshelves and the bottom closed cabinets with a raised panels.
The size is about 10ft by 10ft.

Have you looked into the cost of material?
I would look at it that way and figure about 80 - 100 hours of labor.
Probably in the ball park of 8 - 12k. Hard to say. I don't know your market.

PS. I guess you have to do the install.
Not trying to belittle you but if you cannot make up an estimate on your own, you probably don't have the experience to tackle the job for someone else. If you are confident that you have the skills to complete the project and do a good job, I suggest that you do it on a time plus materials basis. This would be fair to both parties.

I haven't the faintest idea what the market will bear in Israel, but in the midwest region of the US I charge in the neighborhood of $1000.00 per linear foot. I make small adjustments based on time consuming joinery, as well as multi-stepped finishing processes (which I admit that I HATE!!!), but it's always in that neighborhood. I get most of the jobs I bid.
David Ring might be worthy of an email on this one, as he operates a business in Israel, also.
