I live in Portland, OR and would like to acquire those 2’x 2′ interlocking cushy floor mats for my shop. My shop is a bit of a maze of walkways between equipment and I want to cover the paths with the cushy mats. Problem is, I’m having problems finding them. I heard that Costco used to carry them, Home depot too. I’ve made a few calls to industrial safety supply shops to no avail.
Does anyone know where I can get them in or close to Portland, OR?

Costco carries them on a seasonal basis, and if memory serves, summer isn't the season (sorry!). You'll pay alot more for them at Home Depot usually. Try all the different chains of auto-supply stores (e.g., Shuck's). They frequently have them. Call whatever Costco's are in your area and ask them if they are on order -- they can check for them in the computer. If you need a "part number" let me know. I think I still have some in their package.

Try United Grocers or a restaurant equipment supply store
Yup, I'd try those restaurant supply places just north of OMSI.
I got some at Harbor Freight earlier this year. They have a store in Portland with another soon to be open, according to their web site.
If you have a Pep Boys nearby they've been running them on sale for months. I bought two sets and they're great.

I found them at Harbor Freight, 4 to a package for $10. I had to cut a few in half to cover all the floor that I wanted. Don't know why Inever went to HF before, I only live a couple of miles from it.

"I only live a couple of miles from it." Uh-oh.....LOL!
I get to the one in eastern WA about once a year. Can usually find some OK stuff, but have to examine carefully. My fave: 6" digital calipers for $19.99. they've been fabulous.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)Another proud member of the "I Rocked With ToolDoc Club" .... :>)
There's another HF in Everett right on Evergreen Way; 52nd and Evergreen

Yeah, there's actually one south of Seattle somewhere too, but I don't really make a point of taking a trip to HF unless I'm visiting my Hubby at his job location east of the mountains. Occasionally, they'll have something I want and I just order it on-line.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)Another proud member of the "I Rocked With ToolDoc Club" .... :>)
Toys R US: Jantzen Beach, Lloyd center, or Clackamas
They have much nicer 3/4" thick pieces. They are a bit more pricey at $20 for a pack of 4. I have bought 9 packs, and so far my 18 mo son hasn't had a serious head knock on the hardwoods
