Greetings,
After much time and effort, I have finally posted my personal woodworking website. Featured is the some of the furniture I have built, the bowls I have turned, and my shop. More pictures of projects and bowls are coming.
The site is in it’s infancy, so any and all constructive critism is welcome. I definately want to improve the site.
Thanks,

Nice! The work looks good as does the site. I'd kill for the view out the front door. Thumbnails put you way ahead of the game (some people still have dial-up I hear). One peave of mine is that I don't like having to use scroll bars to see a whole picture. I'd prefer to have it expand to just the available window area.

Nice work. Nice shop. Nice web-site. The Ping cap reeks. Someone might think you're a golfer instead of a WW. ha..ha..
Well done...

Hello Lee,
I enjoyed looking through your site and the work you have produced. All are very nicely done although I agree with the earlier post that suggested sizing the photos to fit the screen rather than scroll bars. I was also surprised to see you live about 10 miles north of me on US1. If you're ever in Edgewater and have a couple minutes stop at my shop, Computer Wizards on Park Ave. I'm usually on service calls in the morning but here in the afternoon and always enjoy talking about wood. I'm constantly amazed at how many carvers, luthiers and other woodworkers come in to chat.

Nice site.
I was looking through your workshop and noticed you had a Delta 16" steel bed lathe. I'm looking at buying one. Could you provide a mini-review? What do you think of the lathe? How long have you had it? Anything you don't like about it?
Thanks,
Tony
Tony,
Thanks to all of you for your kind words. I will try and change the photos to fit in the screen, but I am still new to the wqeb design thing.
On the ping hat comment, I do play golf, but have pretty much given it up (as shown by my scores) in favor of spending 4 hours in the shop.
Mini review on Delta Steel Bed. I did a fair amount of research on the mid range lathes, and looked at the Powermatic, Jet, and a few others. I liked the Delta, as it seems to be stronger because of the steel tubing it is constructed of, also 16" turnings which is bigger than the others. The price was also much better than the two mentioned above, as i bought the floor model from a local distributor. I really like the variable speed, and have had virtually no problems with the unit. When i first received the lathe,I did have one problem with the control box that Delta immediately replaced, and have had no operational problems since.
I have pruchased a lathe duplicator which works great for the limited spindle work I do.
The only down side I really have is that the lathe is too small. I have found that I really like turning large bowls, and the Delta, while bigger than most, and a quality machine, just limits me too much. As soon as I sell enough, I am going to look at the Oneway with outboard attachment, and the Stubby.
That being said, this was my first lathe, and I have had it for a little over a year and a half. If I knew then what I know now, and had the extra money, I would have gone bigger.
Hope this helps.
